Introduction:
I started this project as a lot others with the power-supply unit (PSU), which in this case indeed is just a power distributor. I decided to build this project without an internal power-supply unit to save space and weight. So I needed an interface for an external supply inclusive power distributor field for all PCBs, modules and functions within this synthesizer obviously.
| I added two connectors to the system: One as part of the front panel (see picture) and another at the synthesizers back, as I noticed that cables at the front side are annoying for keyboard synthesizers.
The little board behind the front panel just contains the power lines with the connectors for the board supplies. I increased the supply voltage from +/-18V to +/-18.5V to supply TSEM VCOs I intend to integrate. |
